The Supra Pro Wakeboard Tour Resets the Standard

The legendary Supra Pro Wakeboard Tour (PWT) kicked off its 2026 season on June 11–12 at Lake David in Groveland, Florida, and it brought some monumental, long-overdue changes with it.

For the first time since 2013, the PWT officially welcomed Pro Women’s Wakeboarding back to the premier tour circuit. Even better? They are stepping onto the podium with equal prize money pay as the men’s division. Backed by Liquid Force, this massive step forward injected a completely fresh wave of energy into the crowd at Lake David. 

Watching legends like Meagan Ethell and Euge De Armas absolutely tear up the glassy Florida water proved that the women’s field has progressed to an unbelievable level. For those of us who love professional wakeboarding and want to see it thrive, this return should be seen as some of the most exciting news of the year.

Competitors ride simultaneously across the world-renowned 313 Cable Park lake in Palanga, Lithuania, with each getting two laps to throw down their best tricks across three brutally judged course zones.

Since it’s a premier cable park, there are no tow boats and no wakeboard towers on the water — but anyone who loves board sports has to respect the technical rail grinding and massive kicker tricks on display. Huge congratulations to the heavy hitters who fought through the brackets to claim the podium!

Globe-Trotting with the Centurion World Series of Wake Surfing

The Centurion World Series of Wake Surfing (WSWS) fired on all cylinders in June with two massive qualifying stops. True to the theme of the 2026 tour, the events highlighted both a booming international footprint in Asia and the traditional grassroots community roots right here in the U.S.

The Hamanako Open (June 6–7 | Hamana Lake, Japan)

Marking the second of four massive Japanese tour legs hosted alongside LIB Resort, this stop put Centurion’s massive market expansion into the Asian wake surfing scene on full display. Hamana Lake offered up wide-open, beautifully brackish water that allowed the Centurion tow boats to lock in endlessly long, powerful waves. The event drew massive crowds and heavy registration in the highly technical Skim Style divisions, which have completely skyrocketed in popularity across Japan’s elite riding scene.

The Volunteer Surf Classic (June 19–20 | Johnson City, Tennessee)

Hosted by local dealer CBK Watersports near Boone Lake and the Watauga River area, this domestic stop was a total powerhouse. Demand was so high that competitor brackets sold out entirely weeks before the first boat launched. Beyond the elite pro heats, the soul of the event shined during a special “Salute to Service” day, where military veterans and service charity partners got out to ride and coach alongside Centurion team athletes.

Every single athlete who topped the podiums at Hamana Lake and in Tennessee locked in vital tracking points to punch their official tickets to the 2026 World Wake Surfing Championship (WWSC) dropping this fall on Lake Silver in Winter Haven, Florida.

WWA Rider Experience Tour Hits High Gear

June was a massive month for the World Wake Association’s Rider Experience Tour, running three consecutive stops across the country. If you haven’t been, make a point to go! These grassroots weekends are easily some of the coolest events in all of towed watersports because everyone is invited.

The vibe here is all about community, progression, and pure, unfiltered fun. Fridays start off loose and encouraging with hands-on coaching clinics and pro athlete demos, allowing everyday riders to learn new tricks without any pressure. As the weekend moves into Saturday and Sunday, the energy shifts into the WWA Regional Championships. 

The battle for the top regional seeds was fierce, and a huge shoutout goes to the amateur champions who took the top podium spots across the June tour stops:
