September has officially come to a close, and while summer heatwaves might be behind us, true wake enthusiasts know this is where the magic happens. September brings crisp morning air, glass-flat water, and uncrowded lakes — making it some of the absolute best riding time of the whole year.

Across the globe, September 2026 was packed with high-flying competition, world titles, and heart-warming community events. Welcome to your full September 2026 World of Wakeboarding Recap!

At Samson Sports, whether you’re squeezing out those final sunset sets or getting your rig dialed for next year, we’re right there with you — building the custom towers, board racks, and hardware that make every trip out on the water unforgettable.

World Champions Crowned at the Nautique WWA World Championships!

If July’s Nationals in Boca Raton set the stage, September was the grand finale. From September 9–13, 2026, the world’s finest riders converged on Robin Lake at historic Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia, for the 2026 Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships (presented by GM Marine).

Pulled behind the flagship Super Air Nautique G23 Paragon, athletes across more than 20 divisions threw down technical runs, massive double inversions, and precise mobes in pursuit of World Titles and overall season points.

The 2026 World Title Winners

  • Pro Men’s Champion: Cory Teunissen put on a technical clinic in the final heat, landing heavy mobe combinations and double-flips to edge out the competition and claim the 2026 Pro Men World Title.
  • Pro Women’s Champion: Meagan Ethell cemented her legacy as one of the greatest of all time, stomping a flawless final run to earn her historic 9th WWA World Championship title! Team Nautique’s Zahra Kell joined her on the podium in 3rd, locking up crucial overall points for the season standings.
  • Junior Pro Champion: Kane Ward capped off a banner year with a dominant performance to claim the Junior Pro World Title, proving the future of boat riding is in terrifyingly good hands.

A massive congratulations to all our 2026 World Champions and every athlete who stomped their runs at Callaway Gardens!

Bigger wakes and heavier factory ballasts mean higher tow forces on your boat’s deck. Samson custom wakeboard towers are precision-machined from aircraft-grade aluminum to handle modern wake loads without flexing, squeaking, or stressing your gel coat.

Fall Demo Days & 2027 Boat Lineup Teasers

As the summer event calendar wraps up, September kicks off “Demo Season” across the towboat industry. Dealers nationwide host end-of-season demo days, giving riders a hands-on look at incoming 2027 boat models, updated hull designs, and new factory ballast systems.

But you don’t need a six-figure price tag on a brand-new boat to get modern wake performance. Fall is prime time for current boat owners to upgrade their existing setups. Adding a custom Samson wakeboard tower or precision-fitted board racks transforms a classic boat hull—giving you modern tow height, rock-solid stability, and clean deck space before the spring manufacturing rush hits.

Your Boat GoalThe Samson Advantage
Upgrading a Classic HullAdding a custom Samson tower instantly transforms an older inboard into a modern wake machine—giving you factory-level tow height and stability without the six-figure price tag of a new boat.
Optimizing Board StorageKeep your gel coat safe and your floor clear with custom-fit spinner board racks engineered specifically to match your boat model’s unique tubing profile and mounting geometry.

It Doesn’t Get More Awesome Than This – Wake for Warriors Adaptive Tour

To wrap up our news highlights, we have to talk about one of the most inspirational organizations in watersports: Wake for Warriors.

Throughout September, Wake for Warriors hosted adaptive clinics and veteran watersports events across the country—including stops in Washington, Utah, New York, and Alabama. By partnering with local boat dealers and community volunteers, they bring wounded veterans and service members out onto the lake to experience the healing power of wakeboarding and wakesurfing.

From first-timers standing up on adaptive sit-boards along the Columbia River to veterans dialing in their wakesurf carving in Park City, these events showcase what the watersports community is truly all about.

Looking Ahead: Off-Season Maintenance & 2027 Upgrades

As the northern hemisphere transitions into fall, it’s time to start thinking about end-of-season boat care. Whether you’re winterizing your engine or storing your rig for the cold months, autumn is actually the best time of year to plan custom boat upgrades.

Why Order Custom Hardware in the Fall?

  1. Beat the Spring Rush: Fabricators experience peak demand between March and June. Ordering your custom tower or board racks now ensures zero waiting when warmer weather hits.
  2. Precision Fitment: Every Samson tower, board rack, and mirror mount is custom-machined right here in Southwest Washington to fit your boat’s exact year, make, and hull model.

See You on the Water!

Summer 2026 was one for the history books, but the riding doesn’t stop just because the calendar turns. Keep your lines tight, your boards stowed safe, and enjoy those smooth autumn morning sessions.
